MICROLLAM LVL STRUCTURAL BEAMS INDICATED ON THE'PLANS SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM FIBER STRESS FOR BENDING OF 2600 PSI, AND MODULUS OF ELASTICITY OF 11900,000. PSI. LUMBER MATERIALS PER ILEVEL WEYRHEAUSER MANUFACTURER AND SHALL NOT BE SUBSTITUTED WITHOUT THE "APPROAVAL OF THE .ENGINEER. 3.ALL OTHER STRUCTURAL LUMBER, STUDS, SILL PLATES,.,AND CAP PLATES, SHALL BE SELECT STRUCTURAL DENSE #1 CONSTRUCTION GRADE DOUGLAS FIR AND LARCH WITH ''MINIMUM FIBER STRESS FOR BENDING OF 2,500 PSI AND MODULUS OF ELASTICITY OF; 1,900,000 PSI. LUMBER MATERIAL SHALL NOT BE SUBSTITUTED WITHOUT THE APPROAVAL OF THE ENGINEER. 4.2— 1/" ASTM A325 DIAMETR BOLTS AT 24" O.C. STAGERRING INSERTION BY 6" OFFSET VERTICALLY ON THE SIDE OF THE BEAM. CONTRACTOR SHALL FOLLOW MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTION IF NOT NOTED ON THE DRAWINGS. 5. ALL ROUGH CARPENTRY INSTALLATIONSHALL BE EXCEUTED IN STRICT CONFORMANCE WITH THE 8TH EDITION OF THE MBC FOR RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION OF ONE OR MULTIFAMILY DWELLINGS. 6. TIMBER SHALL BE HANDLED AND COVERED TO PREVENT DAMAGE AND MOISTURE ABSORPTION FROM RAIN OR SNOW AND ANY OTHER ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS. 7.REFER TO MBC 1&2 FASTENER SCHEDULE FOR STRUCTURAL MEMBERS TABLE 5602.3 FOR CONNECTION FASTENING NOT IDENTIFIED ON THE DRAWINGS. 8.ALL STUDS AT BEARING WALLS SHALL BE INSTALLED CONTINUOUS. TO BE VERIFIED BY CONTRACTOR. 9.ALL LUMBER HAVING DIRECT CONTACT WITH CONCRETE OR MASONRY OR DOES NOT HAVE ADEQUATE COVERING FROM WEATHER, SHALL BE WROUGHT IRON. 10.AT ALL WOOD POSTS LANDING ON FLOOR DECK, PROVIDE SOLID VERTICAL WOOD BLOCKING WITHIN SANDWITCH TO LINK UPPPER POST WITH LOWER POST. BLOCKING SHALL MATCH THE SIZE OF THE UPPER POST AND SHALL BE NAILED AND FASTENED TIGHTLY TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE CONTINUITY OF POST. 11.INSTALLATION OF PRE—FABRICATED TIMBER BEAMS SHALL STRICKTLY FOLLOW ILEVEL WEYRHEAUSER MANUFACTURER'S DETAILS SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONDITIONS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. 12.NO BEAMS SHALL BE NOTCHED OR DRILLED WITH LARGE DIMATER HOLES OTHER THAN THE ONES RECOMMENDED FOR THE 1/'1 DIMATETER BOLTS WITHOUT THE ENGINEER'S APPROVAL. 13.NO SPLICIES IN TIMBER BEAMS ARE ALLOWED UNLESS THEY OCCUR OVER BEARING POINTS. BEAMS SHALL BE SECURED TO POSTS AS RECOMMEDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. 14.ALL STRUCTURAL BEAM FRAMING SHALL HAVE A MINIMUN BEARING LENGHT OF 7" AT EACH END UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. 15. CONTRCTOR SHALL CONFIRM THAT THE ALLOWABLE BEARING PRESSURE IS A MINIMUM OF 1.5 TSF.
