We had a meeting with Don Henderson last Thursday. We made several observations and decided on some next steps to
get the system into compliance. We found that the recirculation line is not bringing the liquid back to the front of the
plunt. We agreed that this is not the optimum set up[anyway nnd given the current condition of the site, the timing is
perfect to run a new 2" recirculntion from the dedicated i^ecirculation tnn back into the riser of the solids comportment
in the first FAST system. The dedicated outlet has power and the controls are working but we recommend thnt either n
1/4 hp or 1/3 hp pump be installed at this time ns well. We will run the system for a month or so with the new
recirculntion line installed. If we determine that we need to add external carbon we may add a small basin nbout 30" in
dinmeter nnd nbout 24" in depth in the vicinity of the blowers. This basin, if needed will add n consistent supply of cnrbon
to the second FAST tnnk. We agreed that while you nre doing the above work, it would make sense to run nnother 2" line
from the dividing wall riser of the second FAST system back to the aren nenr the blowers. This line would be nbout 12'-
18" depth and caped of,with a stnke left to identify its location. If we determine that the additional carbon feed is
needed we can then install the basin. We would pull power for the carbon feed pump from one of the blowers. I have
nttached pictures we took on Thursday. I understand thnt you have been away, but when you hnve some time we can use
the attached pictures to talk about the work that I have described above, in more detail.
