GENERAL N OTES:
1. CONTRACTOR SHALT_ FIELD VERIFY ALL EXISTING DIMENSIONS, LOCATIONS, AND CONDITIONS
INDICATED OR IMPLIED ON THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SHALL NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT OF
ANY DISCREPANCIES, OMISSIONS, AND/OR CONFLICTS BEFORE COMMENCING ANY WORK:'I
2. CONTRACTOR MUST COMPLY WITH RULES AND REGULATIONS OF AGENCIES HAVING JURISDICTION
AND SHALL CONFORM TO ALL CITY, COUNTY, STATE, AND FEDERAL CONSTRUCTION, SAFETY AND
SANITARY LAWS, CODES, STATUTES, AND ORDINANCES. ALL FEES, TAXES, PERMITS, APPLICATIONS,
I AND CERTIFICATES OF INSPECTION, AND THE FILING OF ALL WORK WITH GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES
I SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR SHALL AND MAINTAIN
INSURANCE FOR THE PROTECTION OF EMPLOYEES, THE WORK AND THE PUBLIC.
3. UPON COMPLETION OF WORK, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL WALK THROUGH WITH AN OWNERS
REPRESENTATIVE AND COMPILE A "PUNCH LIST" OF CORRECTIONS AND UNSATISFACTORY AND/OR
INCOMPLETE WORK. FINAL PAYMENT WILL BE CONTINGENT ON THE COMPLETION. OF THESE ITEMS.
4. ALL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED BY SKILLED AND QUALIFIED WORKMEN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
BEST PRACTICES OF THE TRADES INVOLVED, AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH BUILDING REGULATIONS
AND/OR GOVERNMENTAL LAMS, STATUTES, OR ORDINANCES CONCERNING THE USE Of UNION
LABOR.
5. EACH TRADE WILL PROCEED IN A FASHION THAT WILL NOT DELAY THE TRADES FOLLOWING THEM
4 6. EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF DRAWINGS TO ALL TRADES
kl UNDER HIS JURISDICTION.
7. ALL NEW WORK SHALL BE ERECTED AND INSTALLED PLUMB, LEVEL, SQUARE, TRUE AND IN
PROPER ALIGNMENT AS NECESSARY.
8. ALL MATERIALS SHALL BE NEW, UNUSED, AND OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY IN EVERY RESPECT,
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED AND SHALL BE CONSISTENT WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS
PROJECT. MANUFACTURED MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE INSTALl,ED AND FINISHED PER
I MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS, DETAILS, AND INSTRUCTIONS.
9_.. WHERE A MANUFACTURER IS INDICATED, THERE SHALL BE NO SUBSTITUTLQN OF "EQUIVALENT" OR"
"EQUAL" MATERIALS WITHOUT WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM THE ARCHITECT. SUCH EQUALITY SHALL
BE DETERMINED BY REVIEW OF COMPREHENSIVE INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE CONTRACTOR.
10. ALL WORK AND MATERIALS SHALL BE GUARANTEED AGAINST DEFECTS FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1)
YEAR FROM APPROVAL FOR FINAL PAYMENT.
11, CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY AND ALL CUTTING AND PATCHING REQUIRED TO
ENSURE THAT THE COMPLETED WORK IS FULLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FINAL DESIGN.
12. CONTRACTOR SHALL AT ALL TIMES KEEP THE PREMISES FREE OF ACCUMULATION OF WASTE
MATERIALS OR RUBBISH. PREMISES TO BE SWEPT CLEAN DAILY OF RELATED CONSTRUCTION
DEBRIS. AT THE COMPLETION OF THE WORK, LEAVE THE JOB SITE FREE OF ATI_ MATERIALS AND
BROOM CLEAN.
13. DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS. DIMENSIONS GOVERN. LARGER SCALE DRAWINGS SHALL GOVERN OVER
SMALLER SCALE DRAWINGS. THE THERMAL PERFORMANCE CRITERIA EXPRESSED ON THE ENERGY
COMPLIANCE REPORT SHALL TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER ALL OTHER DOCUMENTATION OR DRAWINGS,
14. PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF ANY FLOORING OR CARPETING, CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY OR PATCH
THE SURFACE AS REQUIRED TO ENSURE THAT THE FLOOR SURFACE IS FULLY LEVEL AND TRUE.
15. ANY CHANGE WHICH RESULTS IN EXTRA COST SHALL NOT PROCEED WITHOUT WRITTEN
AUTHORIZATION FROM THE OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE AND THE ARCHITECT. ,.
16. INSPECTION BY THE ARCHITECT OR ANY REPRESENTATIVE THEREOF SHALL IN NO WAY RELIEVE
THE CONTRACTOR FROM FURNISHING SATISFACTORY. MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP OR FROM
COMPLETING ALL WORK INDICATED OR IMPLIED BY ANY OR ALL OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
17, ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS, SURFACES, AND EQUIPMENT WHICH ARE DISTURBED IN ANY WAY
DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE PATCHED, REPAIRED, OR REPLACED TO MATCH THE EXISTINQ
CONDITIONS.
