Dear Mr. Murphy,
It is respectfully requested by the Officers of the Board of Directors of the Gardens Association, Inc.
that the regulations requiring a person certified with CPR, WSI, and First Aid be waived for the

operation of the pool located at 18 Katharyn Michael Road, Yarmouthport, for another season.
This is a Home Owner Community comprised mostly of elderly people of which 45% do not use the
' pool.
Our pool is in the master deed and we must maintain it, but we are unable to afford a lifeguard. The
pool is fenced in and all residents use a special key for entry to the pool and clubhouse. We are fully
insured.
The pool regulations are posted and all children under 18 years old have to have adult supervision. On
a�ood hot weekday we will average 3 to 4 members and on the weekends we average of 10 to 12
residents throughout the day.
We use a safety line separating the shallow water from the deeper water. We supply a blanket, first
aid kit, long pole for rescue, steps edged with black paint, flotation and a red telephone.
Our pool and clubhouse are insured against accidents and the Executive Committee Members keep an
eye on the pool and are present on the weekends. '
Cape Cod Pool Company will maintain the pool and will keep records of testing the water 4 times a
day.
