3604.2.2 Concrete: Concrete shall have a n6rdmurn
specified compressive strength as shown in Table
3604.12 and shall be air entrained when sub;tect ro
freeing and thawing during construction. Tatat
arr content (percent by rofume of concrete) shall
nor be less than S% or more than 7%. -
Erception: Concrete mixtures used for exterior
porches, carport slabs, and steps that wilt be
exposed to freezing and thawing in the presence
of deicing chemicals shall consist of 520 pounds
1236 kg) of cement per cubic yard of concrete
which meets ASTM C 150 or C 595 as listed in
Apprndis A.
