1. REMOVE AND SEPARATELY STOCKPILE ALL "FILL" MATERIAL AND "A -HORIZON" MATERIAL WITHIN THE OVERDIG AREA (SEE
DEEP OBSERVATION HOLE LOGS, SHEET 11). REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL "B -HORIZON" MATERIAL WITHIN THE OVERDIG AREA.
BACKFILL WITH TITLE 5 FILL AS REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE THE DESIGN GRADES. NOTE THAT SUITABLE PORTIONS OF THE
STOCKPILED "FILL" MATERIAL MAY BE USED INSTEAD OF TITLE 5 FILL. DETERMINATION OF "SUITABLE PORTIONS" SHALL BE
MADE BY THE ENGINEER AND/OR REGULATING AUTHORITY, AND WILL TYPICALLY BE CLEAN, SANDY DEPOSITS FREE OF SILT,
ORGANICS, BOULDERS AND DELETERIOUS MATERIAL. STOCKPILED "A -HORIZON" IF OF QUALITY ACCEPTABLE TO ENGINEER, MAY
BE USED TO SUPPLEMENT SPECIFIED TOPSOIL REQUIREMENTS.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE STOCKPILING OF MATERIALS WITH OWNER.
3. WHENEVER POSSIBLE, SEWERS SHOULD BE PLACED AT LEAST 10' HORIZONTALLY FROM ANY WATER MAINS. WHEN SEWER
LINES MUST CROSS UNDER WATER MAINS, A VERTICAL SEPARATION OF AT LEAST 18" IS REQUIRED. ADDITIONALLY, A FULL
SEWER PIPE SECTION SHALL BE CENTERED UNDERNEATH THE CROSSING POINT, SUCH THAT BOTH PIPE JOINTS WILL BE AS FAR
AS POSSIBLE FROM THE WATER MAIN. IF 18" OF VERTICAL SEPARATION IS UNOBTAINABLE, BOTH THE SEWER AND WATER MAIN
SHOULD BE ENCASED IN CONCRETE FOR A DISTANCE OF 10' ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CROSSING.
4. CLEAR AND GRUB ALL TREES AND SHRUBS AS REQUIRED FOR COMPLETION OF WORK. NO TREES SHALL BE REMOVED
WITHOUT PERMISSION OF OWNER. NOT ALL TREES ARE IDENTIFIED ON PLANS.
GENERAL NOTES
I. THIS SITE PLAN IS FOR SEPTIC SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES ONLY. IT SHOWS APPROXIMATE BUILDING LOCATIONS AND
PROPERTY LINE INFORMATION AS FOUND ON EXISTING PLANS. PROPERTY LINES AND IMPROVEMENT LOCATIONS ARE NOT THE
RESULT OF A PROPERTY LINE SURVEY.
2. COMPONENTS SHALL NOT BE BACK FILLED OR CONCEALED UNTIL INSPECTION AND APPROVAL IS OBTAINED FROM THE '
OWNER/ ENGINEER AND REGULATING AUTHORITY.
3. BOTH THE CONTRACTOR AND THE ENGINEER MUST CERTIFY CONSTRUCTION AND PREPARE AS -BUILT PLANS SHOWING BOTH
LOCATIONS AND ELEVATIONS. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE HIS WORK WITH THE ENGINEER TO ALLOW INSPECTION AND
COLLECTION OF ELEVATIONS AND LOCATION MEASUREMENTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTION CERTIFICATION AND
PREPARATION OF AS -BUILT PLANS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF 5 DAYS PRIOR NOTICE TO THE
OWNER/ENGINEER OF THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
COMPLETION OF OVERDIG AREA i
COMPLETION OF LEACHING TRENCH PIPING (PRIOR TO BACKFILL)
COMPLETION OF SEPTIC TANK AND DISTRIBUTION BOX INSTALLATION (PRIOR TO BACKFILL)
STARTUP AND TESTING
4. VEHICULAR TRAFFIC, PARKING OF ANY VEHICLES, STOCKPILING MATERIALS, AND STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT OVER THE i A
LEACHING AREA IS PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES.
5. SYSTEM AREA SHALL BE STAKED AND FLAGGED BY THE CONTRACTOR FROM THE START Cl" WORK UNTIL ACCEPTANCE BY
