Some of the lips on the top break off because of the packaging (the way it's stacked together) � or sometimes it just gets stuck on the lid.When prying the lid off, a piece of the pint container(if there is a minor crack) breaks off. They cost less than the containers I previously used and are much better. However, in certain cases I have had some leak if package contains water. We use this for a variety of deli items, from dips and salads to soups and barbecue. It's sturdy enough that we can feel confident putting it on the shelf with refrigerated merchandise. It works best for us because it's versatile for hot or cold, even for freezing. We prefer this container and lid combo over some of the others because the lid locks secure for the freezer and doesn't allow for freezer burn as quickly as some of the lighter containers.
