HomeMy WebLinkAboutPool Safety Report Letters 1 • . . ; Buck Island Village Condominium Associafiion Board of Trustees 481 Buck Island Road West Yarmouth, MA 02673-3359 �r. � (508) 778-6513 June 10, 2014 � `, SUBJECT: Pool Safety— Buck Island Village Mr. Philip Renaud Town of Yarmouth Board of Health ' 1146 Route 28 South Yarmouth, MA 02664 Dear Mr. Renaud: The Master Deed and Bylaws for the Buck Island Village Condominium states that"the Buck Island Village (BIV) pools are maintained for the use of the residents of BIV and their guests � only„ The BIV pools are monitored daily by Trustee, James Farrell and BIV Maintenance Manager, Gerald Weitz for safety violations. Approximately ten (10) people per day use the pool on weekdays and about twenty-five (25) per day on weekends. There is an emergency telephone service (Push Button "911" Capability) located within the pool area. All mechanical equipment is enclosed in a secure locked area and all chemicals are stored in a secure, locked storage unit. Both pools have been painted with black safety lines. BIV Pool Rules require that daily sign in sheets be maintained for the pools. Each resident and/or guest sign must sign in daily at the entrance to the pool area. All residents have been provided copies of the BIV Pool Rules. We will continue to comply with all requirements of the Town of Yarmouth, Board of Health for the safety of everyone in our community. Yarmouth, MA 02664 ' Re: Annual Swimming Pool Safety Report Dear Mr. Murphy: � In response to your letter regarding the above, the Board of Trustees of Buck Island Village Condominium states the following. Our pools are maintained for the ,: use of our residents and their guests only. Trustee, James Farrell, and Property ' Manager, Florence Incerto, monitor the pools for safety violations. ' The pool gate is locked and is key entered by our residents, only. , Approximately ten people utilize the pools on a daily basis and approximately 25 per day on weekends. A log sheet is lo�ated inside of entrance to pool and residents/guests are required to sign-in upon entry. An emergency telephone (push button "911" capability) is located inside of the pool area. All ' mechanical equipment is enclosed in a fenced, secured area and chemicals are stored in a locked storage area.
