Health Director FROM: Peter Johnson-Staub,Assistant Town Administrator SUBJECT: Bass River Golf Course Food Service The attached memo from Health InspectoY David Flaherty addresses several issues in connection with Health Licenses for the vendot operating the food service concession at the Bass River Club House. The Golf Division is in the process of addressing the issues Yaised and re-bidding the food service concession with an eected start date of Maxch 15, 2002 for the next operator. Note that none of the bids xeceived January 13, 2003 met the bid , submission requirements so there is no food service operator at this time. A Mr. William Moran, who has bid on this food concession in the past, has suggested that there axe at least two health code compliance issues not mentioned in Mr. Flaherty's memo. i He suggests that two sinks axe xequired and that the existing ventilation does not meet health j code requirements. I would ask that your office look into these two code issues and respond to this office with a copy to Jim Armentrout to let us know if an additional sink is required and what if any ventilation improvements need to be made to bring the facility into I compliance with all pertinent health codes. Attachment cc: Robext C. He stated that corrections would be addressed. • The Hood Ventilation System should be inspected by the Fire Department and then thoroughly power-washed if needed by a professional service. This should be done annually. • Air Quality Testing sha11 be performed for the kitchen side of the interior building simultaneously to other Air Quality Testing. • No Outdoor Food preparation or cooking may be done on site as per Town of Yarmouth Board of Health Supplemental Food Regulations to 105 CMR 590.OQ0,Number 8. • No Outside Catering may be done unless properly permitted by and notification given to the Yarmouth Health Department for each event.
