I left a message on your answering machine on July 17 outlining a report I had received from our '
health officer concerning his investigation of the dumpster issue you brought to my attention on
Friday, July 17.
As of this point,we have not heard back from you and I wondered if the situation has now been
resolved? To reiterate the report from the health officer,he stated he spoke with not only the
manager of the Irish Village but also Dunkin Donuts,the motel in the area as well as Wings and
Salty's. Mr. Heaslip indicated that the dumpsters are picked up by BFI but the dumpsters aze '
picked up during the daylight hours and not at 3:30 in the morning. The owners of the various
properties contacted by Mr. Heaslip were not aware of the problem you described and the motel
owner was also concerned if that type of noise was happening at 3:30 a.m. The motel owner
stated that none of his guests had indicated this has been a problem. I am hopeful there have
been no further incidents. If there have,would you please let Mr. Heaslip, Yarmouth Health
Officer,know of the particulars of the problem including dates and times and he will continue his
investigation. Mr. Heaslip's number is 398-2231,ext. 240.
