i A small dryer fire at the Cape Traveler Inn along Route 28 in West Yarmouth was extinguished today.

� WEST YARMOUTH—Firefighters extinguished a small fire at the Cape Traveler Inn along Route 28
shortly before noon Tuesday.
The fire was believed to be caused by a faulty dryer, and the fire department is investigating the
incident, Yarmouth Fire Ciuef Philip Simonian said.

The damage was confined to the laundry room and no one was injured,he said.
Firefighters brought the charred dryer inta the parking lot,removed the burnt clothing from inside and
soaked the contents with a fire hose. Soap suds flowed across the pavement.
Blagovesta Gencheva, who works at the nearby Cape Cod Inflatable Park and is staying at the Cape
Traveler Inn, said her clothes were in the dryer that caught on fire. She said she moved her clothes
from the washing machine to the dryer, returned to her room and shortly afterward heard the
commotion outside.
