HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-1712 - Landscape PlanNote #3 Meadow Existing, non-native turf and other plants to be eradicated in the lawn area currently around the house. Replace with a planting and/or seeding of native grasses and forbs to create a "sandplain grassland community, an endangered habitat. Some clusters of shrubs within meadow grasses (to be located on site) provide biodiversity (see Plant List). Once established, this native meadow requires little maintenance other than annual mowing in late winter/early spring and weeding of non -natives and invasive plants and occasional mowing of sedge paths. Pennsylvania sedge and other low, ornamental plants to be installed adjacent to the house and for access to maintenance areas. .1y // S A L -( 1" ( ft R , S t' \V rjGG `ScPTL 5-ftxlsr1 1iZOFIt-El off `Pt -PH - - -- - - -- SHcW1N6 17M with minimal irrigation and pruning and no fertilizer, to provide wildlife habitat, Sv©guil.FAcE J E`RGIE GRASSES AND FORBS •ole ao-.a.. 5-c 5-r+ Butterfly Weed Forz ;F5 DFxC<tPno{. Three foot wide walkways of peryious concrete pavers, , 1 including two patios as noted, will lead from the driveway to the back doors. A 3.5 to 4 foot wide walkway of pervious concrete pavers will lead to the front door. Existing plants in front, except for the large Colorado spruce, to be removed to allow for installation of the new septic system (see "Plan Showing Proposed Subsurface Sewage Disposal System...") The native fieldstone wall shall be temporarily removed and re -built just forward of the raised septic to hide the concrete. Roof runoff shall be directed to subsurface drywells. Conservation and meadow plants shall be planted on the SAS bed and along the front for wildlife cover and screening from the street—including Pennsylvania sedge and other low plants along the roadway and the house. Native and non-invasive ornamental plants will be installed, where appropriate, along the house foundation and in the front screen bed. Plan shows tzvE plants in their approximate location; plants will be located on site. v CA, P F co c, k -14G I,•/ a Ea- N cl , Dec 5 c , ztz o CO/1TOViZS RE 50Vr:GE= DeLIN Irl TIoN Dfi Shp N Y Y Note #2 Edge of Woody Vegetation Remove and dispose of invasive and nuisance species along the edge of vegetation.
