SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR COASTAL CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS FOUND IN THE "COASTAL CONSTRUCTION MANUAL" AS PUBLISHED BY THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA -55). 2. ALL STEEL MEMBERS, CONNECTIONS, CONNECTORS, ETC. SHALL BE HOT DIPPED GALVANIZED. ALL METAL CONNECTORS MUST BE ROUTINELY INSPECTED AND MAINTAINED OVER THE SERVICEABLE LIFE OF THE STRUCTURE. 3. ALL EXTERIOR EXPOSED LUMBER USED FOR STRUCTURAL FRAMING, STAIRS, RAILING, ETC. SHALL BE CCA PRESSURE TREATED OR APPROVED EQUAL. 4. ANCHORS AND CONNECTIONS TO BE INSTALLED AS APPROVED BY ENGINEER. GENERAL NOTES: 1. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROJECT IS TO REHABILITATE THE EXISTING STEEL BULKHEAD. 2. SUPPLY MATERIAL, EQUIPMENT AND LABOR TO INSTALL THE PROPOSED WORK ALONG THE SHOREFRONT AS DESCRIBED AND SHOWN EXISTING POOL GRADE ON THE PLAN AND DETAILS. 3. PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK SHALL BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE DRIVE UNDER EXISTING POOL PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND ORDER OF CONDITIONS ISSUED BY THE YARMOUTH CONSERVATION COMMISSION FOR THE REFERENCED PROJECT AND AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
