Plant substitutions and alterations are under the discretion of landscape designee Plantings shall be amended with loam, peat moss and superphosphate No plantings will be installed until all grading and construction has been completed in immediate area if there is any discrepancy between the number of plants shown on the plan and the number of plants shown on the plant list, the number of plants shown on the plan will take precedence. All plant material shall comply with the latest edition of the American Standard of Nursery Stock, American Association of Nurserymen. Install water basins around each shrub and perennial. Hand water thoroughly after installation. Water all plants and seeded lawn after installation and throughout the course of the job on a daily basis. Install two inches of pine bark within all planting beds. Pine bark to be aged and free of any chunks or debris. Lawn: To be set upon 4-6" screened loam. Fine rake, lime, and apply 8-8-8- starter fertilizer Install sod. Not to exceed 2,000 sq. ft. install siltation fenceing with in work limit areas per Conservation guidelines. Supply necessary conduit sleeves under patio, driveway and walkway. Cobblestone edging wet laid in 4" concrete trench. Do not mortar joints. Cobblestone aprons to be set upon 4" compacted dense grade base and then wet laid atop 4" mortar Sweep native stone dust in between joints. Walkway and patio to be random rectangular Pennsylvania Bluestone, all uniform in color, light blue. Dry lain set upon 4' compacted nat .a stone dust. Sweep native stone dust in between joints. Fieldstone Wet Retaining Walls: Set upon 8' concrete footing. Walls to be mortared from inside with very tight raked joints as to give joints a "dry" appearance. Mortared cap with 112"joints on cap only. Driveway to be seasoned crushed shells. Set upon compacted 6" native dense grade base. Contractor shall visit site prior to submitting bid to become completely familiar with site conditions. Contractor shall verify all utilities on property and to protect all uh!ities during excavation. Contractor carries appropriate amount and types of insurance and will supply insurance certificate in Owner's name prior to construction, if requested Contractor to warranty all plantings for one year from date of accepted installation. After the installation is accepted, plant loss due to owner's neglect, vandalism, extreme and unusual weather, Act of God, will not be the Contractor's responsibility. Contractor shall repair all damage to property from operations at no cost to owner. Upon completion of all landscape work, site shall be cleaned of all labels, pots, debris, excess materials and all areas disturbed by these contract operations either returned to their onginal condition or mulched with two inches of pine bark, whichever is appropriate. Contractor warranties all work will be free from defect and performed in a professional manner by skilled workmen who are thoroughly trained and experienced. Any damage to the site, utilities or home caused by the Contractor or his/her workmen will be the financial responsibility of the Contractor to repair/replace. Contractor will comply with all specifications set forth in these plans. if the Contractor can not comply, finds an error or disagrees with the satisfactory outcome of these specifications he/she will notify the Landscape Designer immediately. Otherwise, after installation, the Contractor will be fully responsible for the satisfactory outcome of proper drainage and grades.
