Drainage weep holes shall be provided at Elevation 4.8 placed at 8' o.c. along the entire length of the wall. Stone backfill (1CF) shall be provided around each drain location with a geotextile fabric encapsulating the stone. 9.) The elevations shown on this plan ore based on Mean Low Water (MLW) = 0.00 as verified by field measurements of high water levels established on site on 4/17/08. The mean tide for this site ranges from Elev. 0.00 (MLW) to Elev. 3.2 (MHW). 10.) Additional backfill soils shall be clean, granular Coarse to Medium Sand or Sandy Gravel classified in the USCS system as GW. GP, SW, SP, SP -SM, SW -SM, GW -GM or GP -GM. Backfill shall be placed in 10" layers to 95% of its maximum dry density as determined by in-situ compaction testing. A typical suitable soil would be Mass Highway Gravel Borrow. Excavated loam shall be stockpiled and reused for landscaping of the construction site. 11.) Crushed Stone shall meet Mass. Highway Standard Specifications (M2.01.1 or M2.01.4). Stone for the wall base shall be max. 1-1/2". Stone for the drains and backfill max. 3/4". 12.) Deck slab concrete shall obtain 3000 psi at 28 days cure (Max. 3/4" aggregate) proportioned in accordance with ACI -211.1 using a maximum water/cement ratio of 0.58. The slump of the mix shall be maintained between 4" and 5" during placement. 13.) A chloride free mid-range water reducing admixture shall be included in the mix meeting ASTM C-494 for Type "A" admixtures. Air content of the concrete shall be entrained between 4% to 69> A maximum of 15% of the cement shall be replaced with an approved Fly Ash. The proposed mix design shall be submitted to the Engineer for approval at least 3 days in advance of any concrete placement. 14.)
