2. SCOPE OF WORK CONSISTS OF CONSTUCTING A NEW VINYL BULKHEAD DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE
FAILING TIMBER BULKHEAD AT THE SAME HEIGHT OF 7.0' NAVD88. THE NEW BULKHEAD SHALL HAVE S
12—FOOT RETURNS OR AS APPROVED BY APPLICANT. THE EXISTING TIMBER LANDING SHALL BE
TEMPORARILY REMOVED AND REPLACED.
3. CONSTRUCTION ACCESS SHALL BE FROM THE APPLICANTS PROPERTY AND FROM A WORKING BARGE.
EQUIPMENT SHALL BE STORED ON THE APPLICANT'S PROPERTY OR THE WORKING BARGE WHEN NOT IN
USE. WORKING BARGE TO BE ANCHORED TO AVOID BOTTOMING OUT DURING PERIODS OF LOW TIDE.
4. THE WORK ACTIVITY SHALL OCCUPY A MINIMUM AREA TO ACCOMPLISH THE INSTALLATION OF THE
BULKHEAD. EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS HANDLING SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WORK PROTOCOL
SUBMITTED MATH THE NOTICE OF INTENT, THE RESULTING ORDER OF CONDITIONS AND AS DIRECTED BY
THE YARMOUTH CONSERVATION AUTHORITIES.
5. ALL WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED FROM A WORKING BARGE AS MUCH AS PRACTICAL THE SHEET
PILING MAY BE DRIVEN BY A SMALL EXCAVATOR ON THE LANDWARD SIDE OF THE BULKHEAD. THE
REMAINDER OF WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY HAND. AT NO TIME SHALL THE WORKING BARGE
COME IN CONTACT WITH THE BOTTOM.
6. VINYL SHEETING SHALL BE SHOREGUARD SG -625, WITH 15—FOOT LONG SHEETS, AND SHALL BE DRIVEN
TO THE FULL DEPTH WITH MINIMUM CUTTOFF. IF DESIGN EMBEDMENT CAN NOT BE REACHED,
SHOREFRONT CONSULTING SHALL BE CONTACTED BEFORE PROCEEDING.
7. ALL AREAS DISTURBED DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE RETURNED TO THEIR PRE—CONSTRUCTION
CONDITION. ALL WORK SHALL BE INSPECTED BY SHOREFRONT CONSULTING AND RECEIVE APPROVAL
BEFORE REMOVING EQUIPMENT FROM THE SITE.
S. THE ACCESS ROUTE AND WORK SITE SHALL BE CLEANED AND RESTORED TO RESEMBLE THE
PRE—CONSTRUCTION CONTOURS AND CONDITIONS.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN A COPY OF THE ORDER OF CONDITIONS ISSUED FOR THE PROJECT BY
THE YARMOUTH CONSERVATION COMMISSION PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY WORK.
10. ANY TIMBER USED IN THE WATER SHALL NOT BE CCA PRESSURE TREATED. ALL HARDWARE SHALL BE
GALVANIZED OR STAINLESS STEEL, UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY OWNER OR SHOREFRONT
CONSULTING.
11. ANY DEBRIS OR MATERIAL THAT ENTERS THE WATER DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REMOVED
IMMEDIATELY.
12. THE EXISTING ANCHORS SHALL BE INSPECTED, PULL TESTED, EVALUATED AND RE—USED WHERE
POSSIBLE. NEW TIE ROD SECTIONS SHALL BE WELDED ONTO THE EXISTING USABLE SECTIONS AND
WRAPPED OR COVERED WITH A PROTECTIVE COATING TO PREVENT CORROSION.
13. REFER TO STRUCTURAL PLANS PROVIDED BY TRANSITION ENGINEERING, INCORPORATED.
