PROJECT HISTORY:
1. THIS SITE WAS DEVELOPED AS A SINGLE FAMILY YEAR
'ROUND HOME WITH CONSTRUCTION OCCURRING IN 2013
(SE83-1958).(DB 27180 PG 344)
2. SPECIAL CONDITION 15 (SE83-1958) "THE HEDGE ROW
MAINTENANCE, VISTA CLEARING/PRUNING AND TREE REMOVAL
ACTIVITIES SHALL NOT OCCUR UNTIL THE CONSERVATION
COMMISSION HAS APPROVED A REVISED LANDSCAPE PLAN,
WITH THE EXCEPTION TO THE DRIVEWAY ENTRANCE.
3. THE HOMEOWNER AND CONSULTANTS CHOSE TO ALLOW
THE HOMEOWNER TO LIVE A YEAR IN THE HOUSE TO MAKE
THE BEST DETERMINATIONS TO MINIMIZE CUTTING FOR VISTA
AND FOR PRIVACY.
4. A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE WAS REQUESTED AND
ISSUED WHEN THE CONSTRUCTION WAS COMPLETED.(DB 28465
PG 161)
5. CONSERVATION AGENT, KERRY MULDOON, HAS WORKED
WITH US CLOSELY. WE HAD ON-SITE MEETINGS DURING THE
SEASON WHEN THE FOLIAGE WAS FULL AND AGAIN AFTER
THE LEAVES DROPPED.
6. YARMOUTHPORT DESIGN GROUP (YDG) HAS IDENTIFIED,
FLAGGED, AND PHOTOGRAPHED SPECIFIC BRANCHES AND
SAPLINGS TO BE REMOVED.
7. THE PRE-EXISTING PRIVET HEDGES HAVE BEEN
INFILTRATED BY INVASIVE PLANTS AND GRAPE VINE.
8. THE HEDGES SERVE BOTH THE PROPERTY OWNER'S
PRIVACY AS WELL AS SCREENING THE HOUSE FROM MILL
LANE, A DESIGNATED "SCENIC ROAD".
9. APPROPRIATE MAINTENANCE FOR THE PRIVET HEDGES,
INCLUDING HEIGHT AND INVASIVE MANAGEMENT, HAS BEEN
DISCUSSED BETWEEN YDG, EMELYN GRIZE (HOMEOWNER), AND
CONSERVATION AGENT MULDOON.
10. YDG MET WITH TREE WARDEN, ROB ANGELL REGARDING
PRUNING IN THE SCENIC ROAD. ROB ANGELL CONFIRMED THAT
HE WOULD NOT NEED TO REVIEW THE CUTTING OF ANY TREE
<4" DIAMETER ON THIS PROJECT.
TREE PRUNING ALONG MILL LANE:
1. ALL TREES SHOWN ON THE PLAN ALONG MILL LANE WERE
INSTRUMENT SURVEYED BY DOWN CAPE ENGINEERING IN 2013
2. NO TREE OF 4"CALIPER OR LARGER IS PROPOSED TO BE
REMOVED.
3. ALL TREES AND BRANCHES OVER 1" IN DIAMETER
PROPOSED FOR CUTTING HAVE BEEN FLAGGED IN THE FIELD,
PHOTOGRAPHED, AND IDENTIFIED ON THE PLAN.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW THE PLAN ON SITE WITH
YDG PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK.
5. FLAGGING ON THE TREES OR BRANCHES WILL BE
REPLACED PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK AS
NECESSARY.
HEDGE MAINTENANCE:
1. HEDGE MAINTENANCE SHALL BE ONGOING.
2. ALL MAINTENANCE WALL BE MECHANICAL OR BY HAND (NO
PESTICIDES).
3. HEDGE AREA #1 SHALL BE MAINTAINED AT NO LESS THAN
4' IN HEIGHT.
4. HEDGE AREA #2 SHALL BE MAINTAINED AT NO LESS
THAN 6' IN HEIGHT.
5. REMOVE NON—NATIVE INVASIVE PLANTS AND GRAPE VINES
FROM PRIVET.
6. REMOVE INVASIVE VINES AND GRAPE VINES FROM TREES
ADJACENT TO THE PRIVET HEDGES AS THEY OCCUR.
