Long Term & Short Term Guests Shall be determined be the Definition of Transient in Zoning Bylaw
Section 500—"transient occupancy shall generally refer to continuous occupancy of not more than
thirty (30) dqy, and an aggregate of not more than ninety (90) days with any six (h) month period Use

Employee Housing is defined in Zoning Bylaw Section 500 as "Property owned by an employer which is
utilized to provide housing (dormitory, apartment, single/multi family or otherwise) for employeesor

Building Official's Determination as per the information provided as of this date:
Board of Appeals Petition No. 415, April 3, 1958 granted a variance for a four (4) unit Motel. Tile
existing use is long term rentals and the office has been converted into a fifth unit. Accordingly,
inantediate application shall be filed with the Board of Appeals for a Variance for the use sand fifth
unit. Short of that the. use, shall rt to the 1958 variance for four motel rooms.

As you are aware, the Town of Yarmouth is working ta facilitate the motel license process to
encourage the appropriate utilization of motel properties. To that end, the licensing procedure
� has been reworked, and additional materials developed.
Enclosed please find the following materials relating to your 2008 Motel License:
