Dear Mark,
It seems that the boards at Town Hall are overwhelmed with work and not servicing the taxpayers in a timely fashion
and I speak for many when I ask that this is looked into. Specifically the Health Dept.and Conservation Depts.
Requests for plan reviews and approvals are taking an inordinate amount of time and affecting homeowners sales,the
prices of these sales and the compensation they have to make to buyers when their closings are delayed. The buyer's '
suffer when their mortgage rates change due to these delays.
The real estate market has been very busy this spring and summer as everyone knows. This is good for everyone,the
local trades people,the registry and the tax rolls that pay the town employees. Maybe better planning needs to happen
with employees from other areas helping those services that are busier than usuaL '
These aforementioned departments are in need of guidance and management.
Can you please look into this? A month and more wait time is unreasonable for plans and final approvals for septic
systems and conservation issues.
Everyone deserves time off, but it needs to be better managed with back up where needed. Right now,staff is ;
overwhelmed and not productive in a positive way.
I speak for many when I say we appreciate whatever you and your fellow selectman can accomplish .
(I worked with you on Rob O'Leary's campaign years back. I just wanted to remind you who I am if the tone seems too
familiar.)
