Hi Pete-
Sorry for the delay. There are a couple of items on this plan that need to be addressed. I have reviewed the
plan with Bruce and because of the fill found next door, he wants another test hole dug in the front yard closer
to where the system is going so we have an idea on how much fill needs to be removed. The items that need
to be addressed:
1. Test hole in front yard (our local regs require new test holes after finro years, we also need to prove we
have a minimum of 48" of original soil above the water table which wasn't the case with the test holes in
the rear yard. This requirement is triggered because of the demo and new construction.)
2. Label the high point of the fronting road. The top of foundation needs to be a minimum of 2' above that
(EL. 99.31?) or you need to list the foundation variance on the plan. (Local reg.)
3. You may want to confirm with the Water Dept. the proposed location of the waterline. In the past, they
have not wanted to work that close to the property line.
4. General Notes: #4 Yarmouth vs. Dennis, #14 must be from a different plan
5. Show the reserve area (in the rear yard as we discussed)
Please call or email with questions and let me know what you can do for the test hole in the front.
Thanks, Amy

I won't have a chance to review your draft in detail for at least a week, but you can show the reserve in the rear
to prove you have your square footage and add a note to remove and replace primary leach at time of failure.
Thanks, Amy

Subject: 49 Maine Ave

I am designing a septic for this site. The owners had submitted a plan for a combined system for 49 & 51 Maine
Ave,however, they now want to raze and rebuild at 49 Maine with a separate system. The soil evaluation was
conducted August 21, 2012 in the back yard. I am proposing the 4 bedroom system in the front with a stripout
to suitable soils and to meet the separation requirements to groundwater. Since the existing house has 4
bedrooms already, do I need to show a reserve area? If so, can I show it in the back?
Attached is a draft of the site plan that we hope to bring to Zoning.
