You will need to shift the system, reduce the amount of fill around the leach field (since sidewall doesn't count towards the design capacity), or use a retaining/landscape wall along the backside. ' - Your design is a little bit higher above existing grade because you are using a higher chamber unit— not an issue, but it explains why your's is higher. As we had discussed during the soil test, any variances will be approved in-house with a stamp stating "No additions, alterations, renovations without further review by the Yarmouth Board of Health". There are no guarantees in the future that the BOH will grant the additional bedrooms with the proposed variances. The front yard may be the only option for designing a system without any variances. Let me know if you have any questions or comments, otherwise, the design is ok once you address the 5' swale issue along the rear property line. Thanks, Amy Amy L.von Hone, R.S., C.H.O. . I added this to the standing water found at the time of the perc test, which put the ESHGW elevation 0.80 feet higher than the mottling elevation found. I assume you would like us to use the adjusted groundwater elevation? Also,we're adding bedrooms to the design. The house has 1 bedroom currently. The owner wishes us to design for 3 bedrooms, which I show on the attached design plan. We added a reserve area. We're asking for a variance from the SAS to the house crawl space foundation , and asking for a property line variance from the tank to the rear property line. Are you OK with the premise of I the design? I updated the plan accordingly and Capewide will be submitting the final plans to your office sometime in the near future. See attached pdf copy for your records. I spoke with the neighbor to the north and he said the structure is on a slab foundation. Also, there's an asbuilt card showing this structure as being a garage with bathroom and sink (see attached).
