Per the Health Department records, the septic system for the subject property was upgraded to a Title 5 septic system for a maximum 5 bedrooms in 2006. At that time, the floor plan submitted with the Title 5 application indicated 3 existing bedrooms in the main house. - In 2012,a building permit was approved by the Health Department for the construction of an addition to the main house consisting of a family room with a kitchen located above a proposed garage. - In 2016,a building permit was approved by the Health Department for the construction of a detached garage with a full bathroom to be connected to the septic system constructed in 2006. The floor plans for the main house were corrected to accurately display 3 bedrooms in the main house with a 1 bedroom apartment (bedroom and bath only)also in the main house. - The proposal to convert the detached garage into a second dwelling can be supported by the existing Title 5 septic system as long as the total number of bedrooms for the site remains at a maximum 5 bedrooms per the septic system capacity.
