� Z�a situation arises where a camper is misbehaving/becoming disruptive,quietly speak

� with the carnper to find ont whethex there is a problem that is causing this behavior,Give
jthe carnper fhe opportunity to e�plain without fear o�punishment.It may take a couple of

feel pressured or threatened that if they don't te11 the coach,they will be punished.
If the poor behaviar is persistent,e�plain to the camper what the consequences af their
beha�ior will be.Below is a progression of what may occur: .
• 10 minnte time out. � �
• Only if necessary,sit the camper out of the World Cup at tlie end of the day.
� At this point�he carnpar's behavior shauld be discussed with.the Camp Director,who
should follow up by�alking with the camper one on one away fram the group.If poor
behavior�continues;
r Camp Director shauld speak with#he camper's parents at the sarliest opporiuiury,
' and explain that there has been an issue with the camper's behavior.Ensuxe that
the Camp Coordinator is present at this point.
• If the carnper continues to be a distzaction bath the Camp Director and
� Coordinator shauld contact the carraper's parents to inform thexn that the campar is
no longer welcome at caznp. (only in very extreme cercumsta�.ces).

, This policy is designed to support the standards of respectfut and responsible camper
condact.The camp must be an anvironment where campers,carnp personneX,
parents/guardians,and comnnunity are fre�from canduct that either threatens ar daes
mentalJphysical harm to thern or others.With regard to these expectations, campers are
required to c�nform to respectful and responsible conduct while at camp,or vvhile
engaged in camp funetians away from camp.Respectful conduct standards require that
wa treat others as we w�sh ta be treated,showing kindness,consideration,and acceptance
when engaged with others.Responsible conduct standards require that we are in control
of our actions, are accountable for onr actions and take responsibility for our actions.It
also naeans being trustwarthy and honest:Challenger Sports recognizes the value of

The Standards of Conduct are re�iewed and amended by Carn�Director.The policy is ta

the Coach,and tl�e paze�zt/guardian may confer and agree ugon the appropriate action .

ProtocoE for Police Removal of a Camper fro�n the Carup Gronnds:
When a camper's behavior has escalated to the point that the campex is endangering self
or others,all attempts to de-escalate have failed and the parents are either unable or
unwilling to pic�-up the child,the camp Directox is autharized ta notify the local police ,
department and ask for assistance.The camp will nQtifq the Regional Director.
