CONSTRUCTION NOTES
1.) Contact office (508) 432-2878 a minimum of 49 -HO URS prior to start of project.
2.) Replace orangeburg sewer line back to original cast iron or PVC as needed. Install two-way sweep with 4" PVC clean out
to grade between foundation and proposed septic tank. Cover clean out with control box cover.
3.) Designer is to confirm laundry flow to new septic system at the time of system installation.
4.) Locate, pump and remove existing cesspool(s) in front yard area. Contractor to confirm if an over -flow system existis.
5.) One cubic foot of thrust blocking (TB) is required at all force main angle points.
6.) Raise septic tank and pump chamber outlet covers to grade with poly covers bolted to riser or steel covers and rings. Raise
septic tank inlet cover, pump chamber inlet cover and distribution box cover to within 6" of finished grade. Leaching field
requires four (4) inspection ports with irrigation control box covers to finished grade.
7.) Septic tank inspections: Effluent filter with smart alarm (to be located within the dwelling).
8.) Pump chamber: Extend inlet tee to within 1.0' of the floor of the chamber. Alarm controls are not to be connected to the
pump force main. Alarm controls are to be on a separate hanger or pole. 2" force main to exit through outlet riser. Pump
chamber is required to be water tested with Health Department and designer present. All electrical lines are to be set in
conduit.
9.) Backfill SAS with Title 5 clean granular sand (15.255 (3)). Backfill, loam and seed construction impact areas. A final
grade inspection is required.
