- Existing sewer elevation is to be verified prior to the installation of the new system components.
- Existing septic tank is to be pumped and retained. Replace inlet and outlet tees if corroded.
- Locate, pump and remove existing leach pit and contaminated soils within 5' of proposed SAS.
- *Per the Health Department's Request, installer is to "turn over" the very fine sand (El. 48.8 t and
below) before setting leaching area components. Designer to verify soils to 5' below SAS.
- Designer is to verify soils of all SAS excavations before system installation.
- Designer is to verify system installation (locations & elevations) prior to backfilling.
- Raise septic tank covers (2) and distribution box cover to within 6" of finished grade. Leaching
area inspection ports (4) to grade with irrigation control box covers -required.
- Backfill SAS with Title 5 clean granular sand (15.255 (3)). Backfill, loam and seed construction
impact areas. A final grade inspection is required.
