1. ELEVATIONS REFER TO NAVD88. CONTACT SHOREFRONT CONSULTING FOR ADDITIONAL
ELEVATION INFORMATION AS NEEDED.
2. SCOPE OF WORK CONSISTS OF CONSTUCTING A NEW VINYL BULKHEAD DIRECTLY IN FRONT
OF THE EXISTING STONE SEAWALL, AT APPROXIMATELY 2.7' NAVD88 (6" ABOVE LAWN
GRADE).
3. CONSTRUCTION ACCESS SHALL BE FROM THE APPLICANT'S PROPERTY. EQUIPMENT SHALL
BE STORED ON THE APPLICANT'S PROPERTY WHEN NOT IN USE,
4. THE WORK ACTIVITY SHALL OCCUPY A MINIMUM AREA TO ACCOMPLISH THE INSTALLATION
OF THE BULKHEAD. EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS HANDLING SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE WORK PROTOCOL SUBMITTED WITH THE NOTICE OF INTENT, THE RESULTING ORDER OF
CONDITIONS AND AS DIRECTED BY THE YARMOUTH CONSERVATION AUTHORITIES,
5. ALL WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED FROM THE UPLAND. THE SHEET PILING MAY BE DRIVEN
BY A SMALL EXCAVATOR ON THE LANDWARD SIDE OF THE EXISTING SEAWALL.
6. VINYL SHEETING SHALL BE SHOREGUARD CL9900, WITH 10 -FOOT LONG SHEETS, AND SHALL
BE DRIVEN TO THE FULL DEPTH WITH MINIMUM CUTTOFF. IF DESIGN EMBEDMENT CAN NOT
BE REACHED, SHOREFRONT CONSULTING SHALL BE CONTACTED BEFORE PROCEEDING.
7. ALL AREAS DISTURBED DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE RETURNED TO THEIR
PRE -CONSTRUCTION CONDITION. ALL WORK SHALL BE INSPECTED BY SHOREFRONT
CONSULTING AND RECEIVE APPROVAL BEFORE REMOVING EQUIPMENT FROM THE SITE.
B. THE ACCESS ROUTE AND WORK SITE SHALL BE CLEANED AND RESTORED TO RESEMBLE THE
PRE -CONSTRUCTION CONTOURS AND CONDITIONS.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN A COPY OF THE ORDER OF CONDITIONS ISSUED FOR THE
PROJECT BY THE YARMOUTH CONSERVATION COMMISSION PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY
WORK.
10. REFER TO STRUCTURAL PLANS PROVIDED BY SHOREFRONT CONSULTING AND STAMPED BY
MARK McKENZIE, P.E.. THE CL9900 SHEETING SHALL BE UTILIZED TO REPLACE THE CL9000
MATERIAL WHICH IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, THE CL99DO HAS A SECTION MODULUS OF 20
WHERE THE CL9000 HAD A SECTION MODULUS OF 16.4; THEREFORE, THE CL9900 IS A
SUITABLE REPLACEMENT AND SHALL BE USED.
11. ANY OTHER DEVIATION FROM THE DESIGN PLAN SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF
SHOREFRONT CONSULTING FOR APPROVAL BEFORE PROCEEDING FURTHER.
Al2. THE EXISTING CONCRETE SEAWALL SHALL REMAIN. THE TOP OF THE NEW BULKHEAD SHALL
BE PLACED 6 INCHES ABOVE THE EXISTING LAWN GRADE. THE CONCRETE CAP SHALL BE
REMOVED. APPROXIMATELY ONE-HALF OF THE EXISTING STONES SHALL BE REMOVED IN
ORDER TO ESTABLISH A 1.5:1 SLOPE AGAINST THE NEW SHEETING_
13. THE ENDS OF THE BULKHEAD SHALL BE SEALED TO PREVENT LOSS OF MATERIAL INTO
/ I \ THE WATERWAY.
�14. THE ANCHORS DO NOT NEED TO BE INSTALLED UNLESS EROSION CAUSES MORE THAN 3
FEET OF EXPOSED WALL ABOVE GRADE.
15. A 4 -FOOT PLANTED BUFFER STRIP SHALL BE PROVIDED BEHIND THE NEW SHEETING.
PLANTINGS SHALL BE SELECTED AND INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BARNSTABLE
COUNTY COORPERATIVE EXTENSION PLANTING LIST.
�16. THE EXISTING DOCK SUPPORTS WILL HAVE TO BE EXTENDED SLIGHTLY TO REACH OVER
THE ROCKS AND CONNECT WITH THE NEW BULKHEAD.
