Re: 391 Route 6A,Accessory Apartment
Dear Mr. Ellis:
This is serve as a follow up to our office meeting of August 2, 2018 and my August 29, 2018 email,
concerning the second means of egress at the detached Family Related Accessory Apartment,391 Route
6A. During our meeting it was understood that you would install a door in the rear wall of the bedroom
to satisfy that requirement. In addition we discussed the alternative of applying for a variance with the
Building Code Board of Appeals. Your choice was to install the door;that would entail completing a
one page revision form with the Old Kings Highway Historical Commission,depicting the door design
and location.
As my August 29,2018 email stated,I was advised by the OKHHC office that the form and associated
data has not yet been submitted,nor have I receive a response to my email.
Because a Certificate of Occupancy has not been issued, it is imperative this matter be addressed
immediately.
