B. VINYL LINERS
The liner is made of a poly-vinyl-chloride sheet which has been
electronically welded so as to form a shaped moisture-proof
barrier between the water and the surrounding media. The vinyl
liner is not expected to resist any stress other than the 1. 74
psi direct compressive stress at and around the bottom of the
pool.
C. FRAME
The top rails and verticals are made from extruded or roll-formed
aluminum which has been painted or post anodized. The lower
• rails are curved to fit the contour of the pool and are notched
at the ends to allow for variations in the manufactured length
of the aluminum retaining wall. The verticals which support
the top rails have been designed to present a pleasing appearance
and yet possess the necessary section modulus and radius of
gyration for restraining the top rails. The top rails bridge
the span between the verticals and are screwed together, thus
"rigiditizing" the frame.
NOTE: This frame assembly is patterned after
Coleco pool designs covered by United
States Patent #3,274, 621 issued on Sept-
ember 27, 1966.
