Dear Linda and Joanne,
Per your request on 11/25/90 of installing a wood stove in
your apartment. Nancy and I give you permission to have the
wood stove installed based on two requirements.
1 . That you have the wood stove installment inspected
by the town's fire marshall or whom-ever is
responsible to see that it meets all fire and
building code requirements.
2. That you mail us a copy of the certificate of
inspection for our records and for insurance
requirements.
Linda and Joanne, we realize the need for you to try to
contain the escalating costs of electricity by installing the
wood stove. Please be aware of our concern for your safety
and the safety of our condominium, and we would hope that if
you do not already know how to operate the wood stove safely
that you obtain instruction from a qualified person and/or
manufacturer.
One last requirement. Because you own the wood stove and it
was not part of the original lease agreement you would be
required to have the chimney inspected, at minimum, every two
years as long as you hold a lease with us.
I hope that this letter fulfills the requirement that you
needed to have the inspection done. please call if you have
any questions.
