RESTORATION NOTES:
• Invasive and aggressive species and any other approved vegetation will be removed by hand and
treated with a species appropriate herbicide (Refer to Land Management Plan).
• Native vegetation, unless noted, will remain.
• Native vegetation may be regeneratively pruned to restore structural health and vigor.
• Open areas from removals will be seeded with a native seed mix and covered with erosion control
blankets or sterile chopped straw.
• A 24"-30" strip of vegetation along the road will be maintained as grasses, periodically mown, to
maintain vehicle clearance.
• Restoration plantings will be installed in open areas left by vegetation removal.
• Maintenance treatments and hand weeding will be completed for three years after the initial
removals are finished and be ongoing beyond the permit life if granted in the Certificate of
Compliance as Ongoing Conditions.
• Tall shrubs within the vista management zone will be removed and lower growing native species will be
established in this zone to eliminate the need for pruning. Tall shrubs will remain in all other project
areas.
