Section 421.9.2—(public and semi public pools) provides that "Enclosure fences shall be constructed so as to prohibit the passage of a sphere larger than four inches in diameter through any opening or under the fences." The 2 inch provision if for Private pools. I will be requiring that any area where the bottom fence rail is greater than four inches above grade be reduced. Respecifull); James H..Garner President Aquatic De -sign and Construction Inc. Swimming Pool Specifications (1) Layout swimming pool and establish elevation as per plan. (2) Install pool perimeter header forms. (3) Excavate pool: Keep all dirt on site as needed (4) Install all rough in plumbing, light niches, drains, skimmers; return inlets, Polaris supply, and Hydrostatic relief valve. (5) Install all reinforcing steel: Steel to be #3 rebar tied on 10" centers walls and floor. #4 steel to be installed in bond beam. (6) Install electrical grounding for steel rebar, Light niches as per code. Secure inspection before installing Gunite. (7) Install complete Gunite structures. Gunite to be minimum 8 inches thick walls and floor. Bond beam to be 12" thick x12" wide. (8) Excavate all plumbing ditches and install all plumbing. Extend plumbing to filter area location. (9) All joints to be solvent welded, all pool piping ditches to be minimum 24" deep. (10) Pressure tests all piping. Piping to be tested to 601b phi. Maintain pressure for 24 hours. (11) After pressure test has passed for 24 hours, begin back filling with proper fill. Backfill to 8" depths and compact each layer before adding next layer, (12) Form for decks, grade decks, allowing for 4" concrete slab. Install concrete for slab as per plan. All concrete to be 4000 PHI concrete w/fiber mesh. (13) Finish decks and patio to be exposed aggregate concrete w/acrylic sealer. (14) Install all waterline tiles. Tile to be owner's choice. Tile to be frost proof ceramic tile. (15) Install 8' diving board. (16) Install vole caulking between pool coping and all decks. (17) Install all swimming pool circulation equipment, Polaris and sanitizing equipment. (See equipment list). (18) Clean swimming pool structure, prepare surface for marcite plaster finish. (19) Install 2"x2" tile border on all under water seats and steps. (20) Install marcite plaster finish in pool: (21) Fill pool immediately after marcite has set.
