RE: YARMOUTH — Kids Fitness and Tennis Camp
On August 8, 2000, Meghan Driscoll of the Department of Public Health conducted an inspection
of the Kids Fitness and Tennis Camp that is operating at the Mid -Cape Racquet & Health Club. It was
found that this camp is operating without a license from the board of health as required by Massachusetts
General Law, Chapter 140, section 32A.
A review of this camp revealed that in addition to many other violations, the required background
checks of the staff have not been conducted.
Based upon the operation of this program without the required license and that background
checks have not been conducted, it is the recommendation of the Department of Public Health that this
camp be closed. Please inform this office upon receipt of this correspondence as to what action it will take
in this matter.
Sincerely,
