Lawton, Jr., Town Administrator and Charlotte Striebel, Chairman, Licensing Authority rH William A. Greene, Jr. ra(1, JUL 301998 Deputy ChiefEALTH DEt'T• Open Windows at Molly's July 29, 1998 On Saturday, July 25", while going home from an alarm I drove past Molly's on Route 28 in West Yarmouth at approximately 11 P.M. and was shocked to hear the noise coming from the bar section of the restaurant. I turned around and drove back to the establishment and parked out front. The reason for the amount of noise coming from the structure was that all of the windows in the bar area were open and there was a substantial amount of people in the bar area. The noise consisted of music and extremely loud voices from the patrons, especially those that were engaged in playing darts. I asked to have Mr. Moxlie, the Manager, meet me outside the building.. I asked Mr. Moxlie to accompany me to the curb at Route 28 in the front of the building and pointed out the noise that could be heard coming from the building. I informed Mr. Moxlie of the requirements of the Town regards noise coming from the establishment and directed him to close the windows immediately and utilize his air conditioning if it was hot in the building. I again passed the building on Tuesday night, July 28", at approximately 9 P.M. and again discovered that the windows in the restaurant and the bar area were open, however, as business was slow little noise could be heard above the road noise. It would appear that this is an area that we may want to ask the Agents of the Licensing Authority to pay particular attention to. The improvements in both the restaurant and the bar area have been substantial and'I am in hopes that with a minimal amount of effort we can keep the establishment from receiving Noise Violations.
