Yarmouth Police Arrest Man for Beating his Nephew in Motel Room
On Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at approximately 6:48PM the Yarmouth Police and Fire
Departments responded to room 7 at the Red Mill Inn on Route 28 in South Yarmouth
regarding an injured man due to a domestic violence attack.
Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Raymond Scichilone met with the 22-year-old male victim whose
face was bleeding and swollen, shirt torn, and with numerous cuts and bruises on his chest.
Members of the Yarmouth Fire Department treated the victim and transported him to Cape Cod
Hospital. The victim told officers that his uncle had punched him numerous times and
strangled him.
With the assistance of Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Albert Sprague and Reserve Police Officer
Alan Delaney, Patrol Officer Scichilone located the suspect in room 7. The suspect told police
that he fought with his nephew after arguing with him about his nephew being intoxicated and
using illegal drugs. The suspect was determined to be the primary aggressor and placed under
arrest and transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters. He is scheduled for arraignment in
the Barnstable District court today.
