Then, in 2004, Ruth and Cathy were taking a bike ride and stopped at the inn for lunch. When they learned it was for sale they made a spontaneous decision to purchase it. First time guests are greeted by the red front Dutch door flanked by two colony windows. These original windows; with thirteen panes of glass in each, represent the original thirteen colonies. In the summer months customers can sit outside of the dining room in the attractive gardens that surround the property. Cathy Cassanos, whose hobby is gardening, puts that hobby to good use. She tends to all the flower gardens and uses those flowers to decorate the restaurant and inn.
