I just reviewed your revision with Bruce and we were anticipating the trench to be either elongated and
narrowed or split and shifted to the location of the existing leach pits to maintain the minimum 20' from the
abutting foundation and 70' from the wetland edge as we discussed in the office the other day. We are
concerned about the trench being that close to the foundation.

Hi Terry -
I have reviewed this one and have a few questions/issues to be addressed:
1. Confirm the existing septic tank is H-20 — we don't have any records of value for this property to
determine that.
2. Show the waterline location. If it is within 10' of the septic components, it will need to be relocated or
sleeved.
3. A liner between the leach facility and the full foundation will be needed where the leach is located less
than 15' to the foundation. If it is a crawl space, a liner will be needed if the separation distance is less
than 10'. No liner needed if the breakout is lower than the crawl space floor.
4. Provide the separation distance to the abutting foundation to the west since there is a variance to the
property line. (Formal BOH hearing is required if there is a variance to the abutter's foundation.)
