Containment ideas for drums containing waste water comprised of water,
emulsion and emulsion cleaner.
1) One drum spill containment pallet with 60.5 gallon sump capacity
(12” height)
2) One drum bladder deck with 66 gallon sump capacity
(5.75” height)
3) Single drum container with 70 gallon sump capacity
A clean drum is required each time to ensure that residual material in
drum does not clog water recirculation equipment. Wastewater can be
pumped from the full drum that is within the drum container by Safety
Kleen. Once the drum is empty it can be lifted out of the drum container
and removed by Safety Kleen. An empty new drum can then be placed
inside the drum container for use.
7-11-08: Spoke with Nick at Kaleidoscope regarding emulsion/water mixture
containment. He has spoken w/Safety Kleen and also will consult w/ Steve
Karras of Kaleidoscope. He is considering an over pack drum, drum container or
a smaller drum inside a larger drum. Kaleidoscope will update Health Office
regarding their choice of containment before purchase.
