PETITION #4794: George Villano and Mary C Villano, 9 Gingerbread Lane, Yarmouthport
The Health Department file indicates an existing 2008 Title 5 septic system located in the rear of the
existing dwelling. On February 16, 2018, the Health Department reviewed and approved the addition
of a 12'x28' family room and a 12'x14' screened porch onto the rear portion of the existing dwelling
with the condition that both additions be constructed on sonotubes to meet the minimum setback
requirements to the adjacent septic system components. Full review of the project by the Health
Department will be required if renovations to the additions are required.
PETITION #4795: Dayboard Inc., 168 Main Street, Yarmouthport
The Health Department file indicates a 2000 Title 5 septic system with a maximum capacity of 11
bedrooms and a current Bed and Breakfast license for 5 guest rooms. The current floor plan on file
indicates 1 guest room on the first floor and 4 guest rooms on the second floor. The two rear
bedrooms located on the second floor to be converted to guest rooms are currently labelled as owner
bedrooms. As the septic system is currently rated for 11 bedrooms total, the two additional guest
rooms can be accommodated, however, an updated floor plan labelling the new owner bedroom(s)
will be required to confirm the total number of bedrooms at the property. Full review of the project by
the Health Department will be required prior to final approval to confirm the total number of bedrooms
and to adjust the current Bed and Breakfast license.
PETITION #4796: Christopher Douglass and Maria Douglass, 123 Standish Way, West Yarmouth
The Health Department file indicates a Board of Health variance approval in 1993 for a maximum 6
bedroom capacity. The septic system was installed in 1994 and has not required any repairs to
date. The Health Department has conducted a preliminary review of the current proposal to renovate
and rebuild the existing two structures. The Health Department has given preliminary approval for the
proposed changes with the condition that a new septic tank with an Innovative/Alternative Treatment
Unit (current proposal is a MicroFAST unit) be installed and connected to the existing leach
facility. The maximum number of bedrooms for the property is 6 total. Full review of the project by
the Health Department will be required prior to final approval of the project.
PETITION #4797: Steven Gatto, 28 Aunt Edith's Road, South Yarmouth
The Health Departmentartment file indicates an existing 2017 Title 5 septic system with a maximum capacity
of 7 bedrooms. The septic system is currently located within the existing driveway layout on the
northwesterly side of the dwelling. The proposed storage shed as currently located will not impact the
septic system. Full review of the project by the Health Department will be required prior to final
approval of the project.
