Juan:
I have been advised that your contractor, Mr. Brito came into our office Monday, Feb 25, 2019. Upon reviewing the
application, I do see that he signed the application docs as referenced in my January 18, 2019 email. However, he failed
to address items 2-5 also referenced in that email.
Based on the "proposed" floor plan submitted January 8, 2019, one room is identified as a "Home Office", another
room is not labeled as to its proposed use, but a "Wet Bar" and "closet" are noted. A third room is labeled as a
"Bathroom". You reference Mr. Brito's statement to you that "the basement is not heated" . However based on the
proposed floor plan, it is to be occupyable. Therefore, it is required to be heated (conditioned),thus triggering the need
for appropriate insulation. In addition as noted in my email, windows, ceiling height, and egress; all remain unspecified
and unaddressed for Building Code purposes. Mr. Brito failed to address these issues during his recent visit to the
Building Dept.
Accordingly, until such time he addresses each issue, and determined to be Code compliant by this department, a
Building Permit cannot issued. Finally, the Health Dept. has provided a note, restricting the number of bedrooms to a
maximum of four(4).

Good afternoon Jim,
I spoke to my contractor, he has been at the town and signed the missing d documents. He mention that the
basement is not heated and in this case the insulation and window size might not be required.
Let me know if this information is correct if not I will go back to the property and measure all the windows.
Thanks

This is to serve as a follow up to my January 18, 2019 email and your January 22, 2019 response. Sandi
Clark has advised me that you have filed an application for the second floor apartment. However, to my
knowledge your contractor has not addressed the items noted in my email, thus the Building Permit has not
been issued. Please let me know the status of same.
Thanks.
