I have attached two photos of a job we did where we transversed a mossy slope with an excavator and a link to a small air hammer that I have. https://rhinotool.com/product/pd-200/ I believe we will do less damage to the bank using these tools than if we were to go in with post hole driggers and shovels. On the job in the photos there was more damage done walking back and forth than done with the excavator. If this works on 82 Driftwood there would be no need for the jute or seed as there would be no disturbance. There is a chance we could have rock issues that may change that in some areas. May we have your permission to use this method? thth We also need to have a pre-construction meeting would you be available the 16 or 17 to do that? Ojala' <downcape@downcape.com> Subject: 82 Driftwood Lane Dock Plan Hi Dan I have reviewed the revised plan for this property. I have the following comments/conditions in addition to those in the Order: 1. There should be no vegetation removal for construction. The vegetation at the bottom of the bank can be minimally pruned to allow access. 2. Work on the bank shall be by hand. Sections of the stairway should be constructed off site/above bank and installed to minimize disturbance. 3. The work limit line shall be limited to 2 feet either side of the footprint. 4. Immediately following construction, areas of the bank in the location of the old stairway shall be stabilized using jute matting and native grass seed. Same applies to areas disturbed during construction. Plan is approved and will be added to the file. Can you please send me an electronic copy.
