Hi Beth,
I truly thought having the extension of the subject application to May 31 for obtaining our building permit would be just fine.
And your assistance in this regard was particularly helpful and much appreciated. Unfortunately, this date may be in jeopardy.
The Building Commissioner now requires an engineering surveyed and certified site plan of our home and property that
specifically defines the current setback of the existing building and the proposed addition on the east border of our property.
We have met with Down Cape Engineering and presented all available information. They responded with the attached cost
estimate and we have paid the retainer fee to begin the process. Their best guess to develop the necessary document is 4 to 5
weeks. This could very well bring us closer to June 30 for obtaining our building permit.
So we are again seeking your help and guidance. I'm happy to come to your office to discuss any of this further. Thanks again!
