Hi Joan
You will need to get the plan updated and submit a new Notice of Intent. The Commission will likely be interested in
hearing from Mass Audubon as part of the application as they were doing the monitoring.

Hi Joan
As discussed last week, I asked the Commission for feedback on the request for extension of the beach
raking permit at last night’s meeting. The overwhelming response was that it is time for the filling of a
new notice of intent for this work. The reasoning is that the permit was issued 11 years ago and the
plans have not been updated since that time to reflect any changes in resource areas or mapped
habitat. The Natural Heritage program also needs to review the work as their comments were only valid
for 3 years. A new notice will allow a review of the work protocol to ensure that it continuous to follow
best practice and meet the regulatory performance standards.
