Hi Bob
The Commission will allow you up to 200 sq feet of float per the regulations. You will need to request a variance from
the regulations for anything greater by filing a Notice of Intent. Please note that they do not regularly issue a variance
for this. Your original permit was for a total of 120 sqft so you can increase it up to 200sq feet within the
regulations. You will just need to update your plan and present to the Commission for approval under a Request for
Determination of Applicability.

Hi Kelly
Thanks for the time on the telephone this week. Following up as promised, I have removed both the jet ski dock and
floating dock we discussed.
I will await your direction as to the Commission’s view on the two remaining 10x20’ floats that have been in place since
sometime prior to my purchase of the property in 1998.
Thanks much
Bob

Hi Bob
I have attached a copy of the approved plan for your dock which shows two 6’ x 10’ floats and two 10’
piles. Over the years it appears the floats were expanded and there also appear to be additional floats.

The Commission are requesting that property owners return the float configuration to the original
permitted. The current configuration should also match your Chapter 91 license held by the state.
I hope this is helpful

Thanks Kelly
In the meantime, would it be possible to understand what the concern is regarding the dock. It has
been there since I purchased the house 20+ years ago.
If there is something required on my end, I want to have time to react prior to the 9/30 date in your
letter
Thanks
Bob
