Hi Everyone (again):
Just to quickly address some of the questions in the letter from Eileen.
1) TOY restriction; no problem
2) if the float is removed, the topography at this site makes it impossible to drag it over the marsh and up the
embankment, through the existing vegetated buffer.
The float would have to be removed by a professional and transported to a ramp for loading on a truck.
3) The access ramp is the area of structure over the marsh, and is about 2.5 feet of clearance at the landward edge of
the marsh, and 4.5 feet at the seaward edge.
Because it's a ramp, it's not a consistent elevation over the ground; ramps are used quite frequently to gain access from
the shore; they make it easier to roll a kayak or canoe to the float.
The applicant proposes a ramp instead of steps for easier access due to health reasons.
The ramp is fully grated to allow more light to pass through it. Some discussion may occur at the hearing to address this.
4) Dredging is not proposed; that is a typo in the narrative; my apologies.
Thank you again.
Mark Burgess
