Call the sender to verify if unsure. Otherwise delete this email. Dear Kelly, My sister Lucy Hulse has been corresponding with you during the past week regarding our neighbor’s request for a new dock at 122 Mayflower Terrace. Unfortunately Lucy is ill today and unable to call you. She asked that I contact you with information related to this matter. We think the attached photo history of the location of our seawall (bulkhead), boat house, ramps, and floats will be helpful for orientation. The existing bulkhead on our property should be considered regarding the proximity of the proposed new dock next door. Our primary concern is our ability to replace our ramps and floating dock off the existing bulkhead, which is centrally located on our lots at 126 and 130 Mayflower Terrace. As the photographs demonstrate, this location has been used by our family for over 50 years. We understand a field visit would be needed for you to make that determination, which we think is essential before the meeting presently scheduled for March 5. In addition, my sister Lucy will not be able to attend that meeting, due to a long standing conflict on that date. It is difficult for me to attend because I live in Atlanta and would have to fly in for the meeting. Based on the last minute cancellation of the previously scheduled meeting on Feb 20th, I am hesitant to book a flight. With all due respect, is it possible to postpone this review by the board until the March 19 meeting, allowing time to make the field determination and for my sister Lucy to represent our families concerns? We do not believe this will place an undue burden on the applicants due to the MA DMF comments “any silt producing activities should be prohibited from Feb 15 to April 30 of any year.” I will send, by separate email, a list of items from the regulations that are most relevant to our concerns. We would welcome the opportunity to speak with you about the information we have provided and appreciate your guidance on the best way forward.
