Dear Ms Grant,
As per our conversation today, I am emailing you our concerns as an abutter to the Acres of Pines beach at the end of
Springer Lane. We understand the Association is proposing 100 cubic yards of sand to be distributed over their existing
beach as so called “beach nourishment”. We expect the sand will be graded abutting our beach and Property. Also we
would want the grade of sand to be certified as clean and the grain size to meet any Town or State requirements. Finally,
we would not approve of pebbles or existing stones on the beach or in the water to be moved and buried in trenches on
the Association beach. Instead, if desired, we would agree to covering the pebbles/stones in their existing position with
some of the newly distributed sand.
Unfortunately, we are in Florida and unable to attend the meeting next week but please keep us apprised of any
decisions by the Association which would impact our property or the fragile ecology of our prized Lewis Bay.
Gratefully,
Maureen and John Dolan
