The Commission didn’t specify size so go with the 1-2 caliper. My understanding is they do better because the roots have not yet become restricted. They should be located in the same general location as the stumps. Cape Coastal Landscaping is recommending Acer Rubrum red maple Nyssa Sylvatica Tupelo Quercus Alba white oak to replace the 7 trees. I haven't asked him about caliper size yet. Do you have a size in mind? I know that a 1-2" caliper tree will establish itself twice as fast as a 4" caliper tree, so that would be my suggestion. 1 And, do you want them around where the stumps are, or is there no preference in that regard. Attached is the fully revised plan that went to the Surveyor today for review and stamping. I added a note for the trees, and since the stumps were surveyed, we know where all 7 of them are. And Rick knows to wait for the recorded order before any work is done. Please advise, Thanks. Mark Burgess Shorefront Consulting B.S.
