Hi Dan
The design engineer/surveyor will need to confirm this. Can you ask them to take a look? They need to complete and
as-built plan that includes gradients.
Thanks

Good morning Kelly,
Hope all is well and this finds you healthy!!
If you area out and about could you swing by 25 Powers Lane in West Yarmouth. We brought in sand
and re-created the dunes. I'd like to get those areas plugged with America beach grass sometime in
March. Could you just let me know we brought in enough sand to finish that up before we plug it.
Many Thanks,
Dan

Hi Kelly,
Thanks for getting back to me. That sounds good to me. There were three trees
removed between the house and the water that were severely damaged in the tornado.
There is an abundance of vegetation in this area and the stumps from the trees
removed should re-sucker as well. I'm confident this area will fully re-vegetate this
spring. I'm expecting above average new growth this season with all the rain we have
had.
I will pass along the info regarding the open permits. I know they are aware of the one
regarding the dock.
Thank you again,
Dan

Hi Dan
Dawn-Marie sent on your email. I don’t recall visiting this property but that doesn’t
mean I haven’t! I do recall storm damage in this general area. How many trees were
removed between the house and the water? If they are in the existing buffer then they
may be able to just let the area fill in naturally with undergrowth. When they come
before us we can include it in the review.
On a different note – there are two open Orders for the house and the dock which will
need to be closed out with Certificates of Compliance before any new permitting is
requested.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks

Hey Dawn Marie,
Could you run this by Kelly when you have a minute. It's
regarding 11 Prince Road, West Yarmouth. We removed a
few trees that were damaged from the tornado that were in
the buffer zone. I have pictures of the trees after the storm
and I'll take some now from the same vantage point. It's
three trees to be exact - 2 oaks and 1 white pine. We left
them alone for a few months after the storm. The wind storm
we had on October 17th blew down most of the hanging
limbs right into the walkway. I deemed the remaining
hangers a hazard at this point and took down the remainder
of the trees and removed the debris.
The issue now lies with the dock. They need some
permitting of some sort for the existing dock. When the town
or the permitting agent came out to survey the area they saw
the stumps from the trees we removed.
I'll try and attach the photos I have of the damaged trees.
The stumps of the two oaks are intact so I'm sure they will
re-sucker like crazy this spring. The white pine will not grow
back. This is a much smaller tree than the oaks that were
3
damaged. I'm sure the owners would be willing to replant if
Kelly deems necessary - or what ever corrective measures
she thinks need to be done.
Let me know if you could forward this to her or if she would
like me to stop by and discuss it, I'm pretty flexible over the
next week or two.
Thanks again,
Dan
