She is recommending approval of the Certificate of Compliance Request to her board for the dock maintenance. The certificate can be drafted very soon; however getting it physically signed might take a while. In addition, the registry is closed to the public, and documents must be mailed in, which could take a week or so to get them back. We have a recommendation in writing that the COC will be approved, but it will take time to get the document and get it recorded. I bought my property with an open order of conditions for the lot; it was a vacant lot; and the transfer was not held up because of it. This is a refinance, not a sale, so the impact is even less, and the project isn't related to the dwelling. In my opinion, there is no reason to hold a refinance up because of the open order, especially with such a simple project, that is not related to the dwelling. Therefore, I respectfully request that your bank closing personnel continue to process this application without the recorded COC. I will forward an electronic copy of the COC when I receive it, and will mail it to the registry the next day. I am available to speak with your closing agent/attorney if they have any questions. Hopefully this is an acceptable approach during these trying and remarkable times. We all need to work together, and hopefully an exception can be made.
