Per my verbal statement at the end of the last public hearing, attached is a revised plan with the simple change of
adding a washed stone strip drain along the edge of the concrete walkway. (rev date 4-16-20).
I also include some basic Rational Method drainage calculations for the roof, strip drain and the rear swale portions of
the site.
As noted the owner provided a large stone area under the porch for roof drainage, and the gutters are piped to this
area.
Also attached is an existing conditions plan from 2017, as you can see by the contours, the south half of Giglio’s site has
always been pitched toward the elevation 5 lowspot on the abutters property.
I apologize for the delay in providing this supplemental information, it has been hectic with the COVID-19 protocols and
staff shortages.
If you feel it best to continue to another date, that would be acceptable and understandable, but in my opinion this
minor plan revision which was offered verbally at the end of the last public meeting should put this matter to rest.

Hi Kelly, following up from our meeting, DPW has the following comments:
The property located at 44 Mattachee Road is located within our high groundwater layer. Refer to attached
figure. The Town does not have drainage within the roadway in the area of the property.
Please note the entire site from roadway to septic system was disturbed. Grass and plantings will take time to
establish and should be monitored as they germinate. Once established, this should assist in infiltrating water on
the site.
Only site plans were provided to DPW. No calculations of the change in impervious/pervious areas or drainage
were provided. It was noted that the gutter/roof runoff discharges beneath the rear porch. DPW cannot
comment on the sizing of the two proposed swales.
